Story
Jake’s grandpa always wore this Green Devil during their Route 66 road trips. The ceramic bezel glints in the desert sun, like a freshly cut emerald. Its chronograph ticks so steadily, Jake swore it kept time better than any motel clock.
One stormy night, their pickup broke down halfway between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. Grandpa flipped the watch’s stopwatch function. “We’ll wait 20 minutes for help—no longer, or the cold will hit hard,” he said. As they waited, he talked about how he used that same chronograph to time his old hot rod back in the 70s.
Now Jake wears the watch. Whenever he hits the open road, he’ll tap the green dial and smile—as if his grandpa is right there with him, keeping time together.
